Pierre MARCEL was elected Chairman of SYNEG during the Board of Directors meeting on 23 January 2020. Pierre MARCEL, Chairman of TOURNUS EQUIPEMENT, has been a member of SYNEG’s board since 2008. He has been Vice-Chairman since 2013 and has successively chaired the International and Environment Commissions. Mr. MARCEL praised the action of his predecessors and presented the main orientations of his mandate.
“SYNEG’s management (Chairman,, Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, Board members and the Secretary General) must ensure that it creates value for its members, in particular to the work of the technical, purchasing, environment, international, communication and statistics committees. In this way, a SYNEG member has access to valuable information, exclusive services and can benefit from a unique support, while benefiting from the good reputation of the SYNEG. Because SYNEG is not just a club for professional contacts. SYNEG is a member of the Fédération des Industries Mécaniques (FIM), and is the official contact for the Authorities in order to represent the equipment manufacturers in the catering and laundry industries area.
This action is part of a catering and laundry sector in which SYNEG is a major player both in France and abroad. First of all, with regard to the users of our equipment, by offering high-performance equipment that meets technical, economic and socio-environmental expectations.
Secondly, installers of professional kitchens also have legitimate expectations that SYNEG’s members have to satisfy in terms of performance, maintenance, lifespan and services. In the same way, professional kitchen designers expect the equipment to achieve the performance expected at the design stage, first and foremost reliability.
In addition, the Public Authorities are very much involved in our profession: waste reduction, energy efficiency, refrigerant gases, food contact, work regulation, …On all these subjects, FIM’s support is a real asset.
Finally, this new mandate will be placed under the sign of the strengthening of cooperation between stakeholders in the sector. The riht way is not “defending” but promoting our professions, in a context of recruitment difficulties.
With SYNEG and our partners in the sector, we have the potential to act collectively in building our future. It is now up to us to make it happen “.
